Dr. Sushil Sharma is currently an associate dean and a professor of computer information systems (CIS) in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University. His journey of academia began at Pune with Symbiosis International University, Bharati Vidyapeeth and finally at IIM Lucknow where he taught for 10 years before immigrating to USA. He was also an advisor to U.P Government on IT and education and in fact he was the author of the 1st IT policy of the U.P.
During his days at IIM, he used to write a popular cyber space column in Times of India in early 90s on “The Emerging Impact of IT on the society”. He was also featured in Door Darshan and Zee TV couple of times for IT related matters.
After leaving India, he has taught in several countries just to mention a few; Australia, New Zealand, Finland, France, England, Turkey, and Canada before settling down in the United States. He has been in academia for over 30 years out of which he has been in academic administration for over 25 years at various levels in higher education.
